All the courses are carefully designed and continuously fine-tuned with changing demands of the economic and global market. The curriculum focuses on fundamental subjects on Finance and Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Systems, Production and Quantitative Techniques along with specializations in each field. The students at XLRI are technically competent.
Experiential Learning
XLRI has an interactive pedagogy. Students are taught using lectures, case studies, industrial visits, simulation games, role plays, seminar presentations, and interactive workshops. There is an eight to ten weeks Summer Internship Program (SIP). The students get to work with industry leaders like HUL, P&G, ITC, Nestle, Marico, Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, Microsoft, and Samsung in the domains of FMCG, ITES, BFSI and consulting. The knowledge imparted to the students is via real-time and simulated experiences.

Communication
Written and oral forms of communication are a must skill in today’s competitive times. The students learn the nuances of business communication through writing assignments, projects works, and dissertations. Apart from that students get multiple opportunities to hone their communication skills by conducting seminars, hosting events, etc. The committees provide a public platform to the students to able to connect with professionals outside their campus.
Managerial Abilities
The industrial interaction, assignments and committee work help improve the decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills in students. These two qualities are something that employers look for in candidates.
Identity Building
Employers want that their future workers can identify themselves with various roles and identities that the organizations have to offer. The decision-making section in the XAT exam is an excellent example that this quality is incorporated from the very outset by XLRI. Throughout the course, there are various instances and opportunities when students have to identify themselves in different roles and make decisions.
