MICA Orientation

Speaking about the importance of orientation, Prof Nitesh Mohanty, Chair, CCC program at MICA says, “Every year we offer an exclusively designed orientation program for the new students. The idea is to invite creative professionals, independent practitioners and entrepreneurs who have been contrarian while redefining what creativity means to them and pushing the boundaries of creative communication.”

“For this year, we were looking at the vanguards who are constantly questioning and redefining the paradigm of creative engagement so their stories could inspire our students to brace the challenges that await them as communication designers of tomorrow. Hence we have curated a series of interactions and engagements by reaching out to a bunch of young, passionate and prolific individuals from the world of advertising, design, content, media and communication based on their unique approach to creativity”, Prof Mohanty added.

Last year, the institute had invited the likes of Varun Grover (Writer, Lyricist), Mandovi Menon (Creative Director and Media Entrepreneur), Tina & Pratheek Thomas (Cofounders, Studio Kokachi), Shabnam Virmani (Founder, Kabir Project), Prashant Godbole (Art Director and Photographer), Gangadharan Menon (Copywriter and Educator) & Gunjan Ahlawat (Head of Design, Penguin India).
