Professor and Dr. Varsha Jain, faculty at MICA has been awarded Prof. Indira Parikh top 50 woman in education award” on 5th of July- at Taj, Mumbai, India. Prof. Indira Parikh is the Former Founder President of FLAME (Foundation for Liberal and Management Education) Institute. Previously, she was the Dean of IIM-Ahmedabad from 2002 to 2005. She was a faculty member at IIM-Ahmedabad for over 30 years. She has also taught at INSEAD, Fontainebleau and Texas A&M University

This is a moment of pride and honor to get recognized as the woman academician among the other female professors who are based out of Australia, Dubai, Malaysia, IIM A and so on. They were also awarded in the similar category.

When asked about her journey and what the award means to her, she said, “I am overwhelmed with the help and support that MICA has provided at every stage of my research journey. This award means a lot for me as I diligently invest around 10 hours on regular bases on scholarship and publications. This is the result of consistent hard work which I have undertaken in the last 8.5 years (post PhD). It is very challenging as a scholar to manage quality and quantity in research projects. When these efforts are appreciated and recognized in our country, it makes me blissful. I feel motivated and inspired. I am delighted that in India scholars are appreciated for their diligent work.
