Creativity manifests itself when we move beyond the boundaries of our imagination. One such festival is the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity which is a four-day festival packed with insightful sessions, workshops and the coveted award ceremony. It began on 18th of June till 22nd June 2018 at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, Cannes, France.
This year MICA experienced a two-fold victory, Raisa Chakravarty, MICA alum from the batch of 2012 and Anupama Sharma from ITC’s personal care products business bagged the Silver at the Cannes Young Lions competition for marketers. The team won over the judges with their ideas and presentation skills in the marketing leg of the Young Lions contest organised by BCCL and got an all-expense paid trip to Cannes.
Also the winning team from the second season of ‘WAT’s Your Big Idea’, the competition conducted by WATConsult, a digital and social media agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, comprised of first year MICA students, Riddhi Sachdeva, Aditya Pandey and Ronak Thakkar ,who won PPOs and tickets to Cannes 2018. The team selected Madam Tussauds in their preliminary round. Riddhi Sachdeva said on behalf of her team, “The entire experience was exhilarating, we especially enjoyed the mentorship we received from the Team at WAT”.
WAT’s Your Big Idea 2.0 received over 240 entries from over 390 students who participated from leading institutions such as MICA, SIMC, XIC, IIMB, IIM (Indore), SP Jain, Jamnalal Bajaj, NMIMS
