We all think about our career goals in college and university and many of us who plan to take up business roles at some point in time aspire to become C-level executives in the long run. And I am no exception. In fact, I aspire to become a CEO in the next five years.
I believe that I have the relevant skills to become a CEO – I have the technical skills to excel in my industry and I have excellent communication skills, which are extremely important for those in management positions.
In the next five years, I hope to gain management experience and hone my business acumen; this way, I will be able to handle the role of a CEO more effectively.
I strongly believe that when there is a will, there is a way. Many believe that C-level positions such as the CEO, CTO and CMO are impossible to attain and they sometimes laugh at my high aspirations; however, I am someone who is not perturbed by negative emotions around me.
I am a determined individual and I believe that even at such a young age, I have the ability to lead large teams and make decisions for the entire company.
In all my internships and project work in college and university, I have never shied away from leadership roles and I have taken every opportunity to enhance my interpersonal skills.
I hope to hone my leadership and communication skills further during my MBA program and I believe that the work experience that I gain after my graduation will help me to achieve my career goal.
I aspire to be a CEO in the next five years and I will work towards making my dream a reality. I am determined to learn the ropes of the industry and work hard to enhance my skills that will bring me closer to my career aspiration.
