The Common Admission Test (CAT), conducted on 24th November this year, for admission to the premier business and management schools of the country, such as the IIMs, will seal the fate of thousands of aspirants hoping for a coveted seat in their dream institution. CAT results declared on 4th January 2020, now the aspirants can check out on the CAT Cut Off, which will determine whether they qualify and get admission or not.
What is CAT Cut Off?
CAT Cut Offs are used by institutes which accept the CAT scores for giving admission to candidates. There are two cut offs that IIMs come out with- one is the qualifying cut off and the other is the final cut off. Only candidates who meet the qualifying cut off are considered for the next round of admission. It is like a minimum criteria that the candidates must fulfil. The qualifying cut off is announced before the CAT Results are declared whereas the final cut off is announced after the results are declared.
