The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) for aspirants across the country seeking admission in various postgraduate courses offered at the TISS campuses. More than 40,000 candidates register themselves to appear for TISSNET every year, out of which nearly 17,000 candidates register for the very popular course- MBA in HRM and LR. This article will help aspirants understand the complete TISSNET Registration procedure and act accordingly.
TISSNET Registration Online or Offline?
The registration process for TISSNET is both online and offline. Candidates who have access to the internet can register themselves on the official website and apply through the E-application process only. However, for the convenience of aspirants from remote areas who don’t have access to internet facilities have the option of getting their printed copy of the TISSNET MBA application form from the Institute itself. The printed form will then have to be sent to the Institute through speed post, along with the requisite application fee.

General Information about the TISSNET Registration Process

Candidates can apply for a maximum of 3 programmes. They must not fill more than one form, or their applications will be cancelled
- TISS is a national level exam conducted in around 39 centres across India. Candidates are free to select a convenient location while filling up the TISSNET application form
- Candidates have to upload (online mode) or attach (offline mode) relevant certificates, including Photograph/ Signature/ TISS Challan Copy if paid by cash/ Category Certificate if applicable)
- Unemployed candidates, whose parents’ annual income is less than ₹ 2.5 lacks for SC/ ST and less than ₹ 1 lakh for OBC (NC) are required to pay a concessional application fee of ₹ 250 for each programme
- Candidates will only be allowed to appear in their allotted time slot, to be mentioned in their admit cards
- Candidates must carry their admit cards to their examination venue, without which they shall not be allowed to enter or write the exam
- Candidates must also carry an original Photo ID proof to the examination venue
