XAT EXAM

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a conducted national-level management entrance examination by XLRI (Xavier School of Management). After the CAT exam, XAT is the second largest entrance exams for MBA admissions. XLRI is a management school which was founded in 1949. It is located in Jamshedpur. XLRI holds the XAT exam on behalf of XAMI (Zavier Associate Management Institutes). This exam is conducted for the admission of candidates to the MBA and PGDM programs. The XAT exam is conducted over 74 cities in India. XAT score is accepted around 150 MBA colleges for admission for the MBA and PGDM programs. ELIGIBILITY:

The XAT exam has no age limit but has certain criteria’s as its eligibility, they are:

1. Must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized board or university or institute in any discipline for a minimum of three years.
2. Even the final year students are eligible to apply provided if they had completed the program within the postulated calendar, which is most likely to be by June 2024.
3. If the student applying is an NRI or a Foreign national candidate, they must apply through their GMAT scores.

REGISTRATION:

The registration fees for the categories of General, SC, ST, PWD, OBC is Rs. 1700. And the registration fees are Rs. 2000 for those candidates who apply after the deadline. The registration fees can be only through the Net banking, credit card or debit card. The fees can be paid only through the online medium.

EXAM PATTERN:

In Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR) (26 marks), you will have to concentrate on the Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Fill in the blanks, Analogy-based on vocabulary, Paragraph Formation Questions, Sentence correction, Grammar, Poem, etc.

In Decision Making (DM) (22 marks), you will have to concentrate on the Arithmetic, Analytical Reasoning, Situational etc. In Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI) (27 marks), you will have to concentrate on the Percentage, Probability, Profit & Loss, Scatter Plots and Bar Charts, Time & Distance, Progressions, Time & Work, Equations, Data Sufficiency, Polynomials, Numbers, Permutation and Combination,

In General Knowledge (GK) (25 marks), you will have to concentrate on the History, Culture, Currency, Important Dates, Geography, Invention, Books and authors, Current affairs, National Capital, Personalities, Films, Science and Business, etc.
