PGP INDORE 2024-26 Batch Admission Procedure for CAT Applicants
Students who have given CAT are eagerly waiting for their results. But the process is not over yet, it starts here. Be prepared for WAT and PI for your selection into IIMs. Below is the selection criteria for IIM Indore for IIM CAT 2024-26 Batch.
Latest Update: IIMs will be announced the CAT 2024 exam date in November 24, 2024. Detailed notification for CAT 2024 may be released in August 2024.
Eligibility criteria for CAT 2024 Applicants
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Such candidates must produce a certificate from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university certifying that they are currently in the final year/ awaiting final results and have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC/ST/PDW) based on latest available grades/marks. Such candidates if selected will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by June 2024.
Application Process
Candidates seeking admission to the two-year PGP of IIM Indore should have appeared in the Common Admission Test [CAT]which was conducted on November 24, 2024. While registering for CAT 2024, candidates could have applied to IIM Indore by selecting the option available in the online registration.
Selection Process
IIM Indore will adopt a three-stage selection process (i) Eligibility criteria (ii) Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) (iii) Final Selection.
Selection criteria for each of the stages are mentioned as below:
Stage-1: Eligibility Criteria
The following minimum sectional percentile and overall percentile scores in CAT 2024. Those applicants meeting the above criteria will only be considered for the Stage-2 of the
selection process.

Stage-2: Shortlist for WAT and PI
The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage 1 will only be considered for this stage of shortlisting for WAT and PI. Sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DA) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on Composite Score (CS) as given below.

Candidates short-listed for WAT and PI will be intimated in the month of January 2025. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for WAT and PI.
IIM Indore conducts admission interviews in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi only. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centres at any time.
Candidates shortlisted for WAT and PI at Stage-2 must have to attend both WAT and PI, otherwise, they will be not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e Stage-3. “IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-3”.
Stage-3: Final Selection
The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage 2 will only be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Final Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table below and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the reservation norms.

Reservations
As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% percent and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI's admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer - other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI's admission requirements.
In addition, 3% seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (as per the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) meeting IIMI's admission requirements. The three categories of disabilities are: (a) low-vision/blindness, b) hearing impairment, and c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by medical authority and as prescribed and explained in the said Act.

The PGP Office of IIM Indore shall provide details on scholarships administered by IIM Indore to all finally admitted candidates.
