NMAT Selection Procedure 2024

NMAT Selection Procedure: The NMAT by GMAC™ is a computer administered test owned by the Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited (GMGC), a subsidiary of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). After completing the NMAT exam 2024 over a 75 day test window, candidates will go through further steps of the selection procedure for the academic session 2024-26. There is no common procedure for selection and varies from college to college. Here is a complete know how about the NMAT admission procedure 2024.

Here is the step by step process of the selection process for NMAT 2024. Please note that you must check the respective college’s website for admission criteria details.
Candidate’s final scores will be sent out to all the colleges / universities that were selected by them at the time of registrationPlease Note:

1.  Candidates can select 5 or more colleges for sending out their scores
2.  The selection criteria and weightage for each test component is decided by the individual college. Candidates must ensure they check the respective college’s websites for details.
3.  The final merit list will be prepared based on a candidate’s performance in the following:
   • NMAT by GMAC™ Written exam
   • Group Discussion (GD) and/or Writing Ability Test(WAT) and/or Case Discussion (CD)
   • Personal Interview (PI)

NMAT registration is done online. As a candidate, you will first require creating a login ID and password to complete the online registration process. To start with -

1. Visit mba.com/exams/nmat.

2. Click 'Register for NMAT by GMAC'.

3. Enter basic details (name, email, password).

4. Agree to terms and complete CAPTCHA.

5. Click 'Create Account'.

Use the registered email and password to log in and complete the NMAT exam registration. Submit the required documents as asked to proceed.

The NMAT selection criteria for NMIMS takes place in the following stages: 

Stage I: First, take the NMAT Exam. Candidates must appear for the NMAT exam conducted by GMAC.

 Stage II: Candidates applying to NMIMS programs will be shortlisted based on their sectional and overall NMAT scores.

 Stage III: Shortlisted candidates then appear for the Case Discussion and Personal Interview rounds
 

In the end, the final merit list comes on the basis of the academic performance, marks obtained in NMAT, work experience and case discussion/personal interview.

The retake exam fee for the NMAT exam is 2800 + applicable taxes for the year 2024.

NMAT exam is accepted by 51 colleges in India and some 25 institutes abroad. Institutes accepting NMAT in India include NMIMS Bangalore, ISBR Bangalore, ICFAI Business School and others.
