The XAT results were announced last night on 16 January 2019. It was a pleasant surprise for all as the result was tentatively expected on the 17 th of January. Candidates can now check their score cards. The result is in two forms- percentage and percentile of individual sections. Candidates can log in on the website using their XAT Id and password given to them at the time of registration to check the results from the official website. The link is given below.

XAT –Highway to reach Top B-Schools!
The XAT is a highly sought after exam and there are nearly 150 B schools that accept the XAT score. Among these, till last year there were nearly 11 Xavier Associate Management Institutes and 145 Non-XAMI Colleges. The top Institutes include Department of Management Studies, IIT, Madras, Great lakes, TAPMI apart from XLRI, Jamshedpur, one of the oldest B schools in India. Reshaping the business future of the country, these schools nurture students academically, intellectually and emotionally to contribute to the growth of the society.
Cut-Offs- Beep points to Soaring Scores!
The shortlist for Interview has also been published by XLRI. The candidates in this short list are eligible to apply for the further rounds for the admission process to gain entry into the coveted courses- BM, HRM and GMP.
The other Institutes (XAT Associate Institutes) that accept the XAT score will be announcing their cut offs shortly. These announcements are based on the number of candidates appeared in the exam, total seats and the difficulty level of the exam. The XAT tests the students on the basis of Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Logic and Decision Making. General Awareness has not been used to calculate the XAT result. However, the score in this will be considered for the final admission process by XLRI. Other Institutes may or may not use this score for final considerations.
Candidates can use the last year cutoffs to analyze where they stand in the admission process.

The top MBA Colleges such as XLRI, SPJIMR, XIM and IMT accept a XAT percentile of 90 and above. However, there are several colleges that accept a percentile of 80 and above such as the GIM, Great Lakes, TAPMI, MICA, FORE, IRMA, LIBA, IFMR and IMNU- Nirma University. After the cut offs are declared, the students can register for further admission process in these colleges.
Results Out – Time for RBS!
Gear Up! It’s high time for RBS (Rush to book slot)!
The candidates must register for the interview round within 10 days of announcement of results. For this, you have to select the course from the choices made at the time of application. In case of selection of multiple courses, you will have to book a different slot of each course. With given multiple choices of location, you can choose the timings, place, and date of the interview as your own preference. MBA Colleges such as IMT, XIMB, TAPMI, Great Lakes, LIBA, IFMR, BIMTECH that accept XAT Score have their admission process scheduled till January 2019. Many other MBA colleges schedule it up to February/March. So, candidates must book the slots accordingly.
The score card declared for XAT will remain valid till December 2019 and the students can apply in various colleges which have their admission process open to claim their seat. However, after that they have to reappear in XAT.
Last Frontier
After going through all the steps of the selection process of the interview, the final list of selected candidates will be released. With which candidates can enroll themselves for the academic session of 2019-2020. Apart from the main list of selected candidates, a waiting list is also issued in case few seats are still left after the completion of the selection process. The students in the waiting list are given priority in such case.
