NMAT 2024 Exam Highlights
- NMAT 2023 exam was conducted over 75 days split into five windows.
- Each question carried three marks. There was NO negative marking.
- The candidates were provided with a choice to choose the sequence of sections.
- There were no technical glitches experienced during the NMAT 2020 exam.
- NMAT 2020 exam was designed to be a speed-based test.
- The overall difficulty level of the NMAT 2023 exam was moderately difficult with each section getting its due in terms of testing the student’s aptitude, accuracy, and speed.
- There were a few surprises in each section (details mentioned below).
- A score of 210+ was an ideal score to crack a college like NMIMS Mumbai.
NMAT 2023 Exam Language Skills Section
- The overall difficulty level of the Language Skills section was easy to moderate.
- There were a few surprises in terms of the topics from which the questions were asked. For example, a question on idioms & phrases was not common to all windows and days

NMAT 2023 Exam Quantitative Skills Section
- The overall difficulty level of the Quantitative Skills was moderate to tough.
- This section has questions into three (unmarked) parts:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Data Interpretation (DI)
- Data Sufficiency (DS)
- This year saw sudden stress on topics of modern math – Logarithms, Permutation & Combination (PnC), Progressions (AP, GP. HP), and Probability. The difficulty of the questions was not high, but they were constant in each paper.
- Algebra was not a constant topic in all windows.
- There were a standard number of sets in DI and topics were similar.
- The difficulty level of the questions in DS was comfortable.
- The overall difficulty of Arithmetic questions was moderate to tough.

NMAT 2023 Exam Logical Reasoning Section
- The overall difficulty level of the Logical Reasoning section was moderate to tough.
- The level of questions was equivalent to CAT exam questions.
- The questions were a mix of set-based and single questions.
- Critical Reasoning questions dominated the logical reasoning section.
